As the Auction Manager, Keith Alcorn ensures that executing those high standards of practice & ethics demonstrate commitment to our Core Values which are the foundation for ALL Hum & Company activities. Our vision is to be widely recognized for providing the highest level of real estate & auction services & contributing to our community.
There is no substitute for touch! While we capitalize on the efficiencies of technology to optimize time & resources, we believe so strongly in extraordinary personal service that we limit our number of Clients & projects in order to be on the scene & in the room rather than “on the wire.”
Our Operating Principles
Conduct business in strict accordance with all local, state & federal laws. A major area of real estate law is Equal Opportunity in Housing. In our opinion, Fair Housing is not just the law, it’s the right thing to do!
Principle #1:
Prepare for high levels of professional service through constant education, training & practice. It has been said that the will to succeed is important; but, the will to prepare is even more important. All Hum & Company people take part in extensive continuing education opportunities, even more than required by law.
Principle #2:
As legal agents, energetically & enthusiastically represent all CLIENTS (Sellers OR Buyers) to help them:
1) attain the best terms & conditions, 2) in the shortest possible time, 3) with the least inconvenience. 4) Our Client/Principal representation is characterized by absolute adherence to fiduciary duties owed to a principal by an agent described in the Law of Agency: Obedience, Loyalty, Disclosure, Confidentiality, Accounting & Reasonable care & diligence (OLDCAR).
Our Policy on Agency & our Consumer Guide to Agency Relationships describe this principle.
Principle #3:
While vigorously representing Clients (Principle #3), assist all customers fairly & honestly. Customers include buyers & sellers as well as real estate brokers & salespeople representing buyers & sellers who are involved in transactions opposing our Clients.
Principle #4:
Create a high performing team for every transaction or other business event. Work diligently & collaboratively to optimize all team members’ (support staff, sales team, promotional media providers, lenders, attorneys &/or title companies, surveyors, inspectors, government agencies, contractors, vendors, etc.) contributions focused to achieve the 4 goals described in Principle #3.
Principle #5:
